Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) is the Model United Nations conference hosted by the Harvard International Relations Council (HIRC) of Harvard University. It is one of the oldest MUN conferences in the world. HMUN CHINA is the most international MUN conference for high school students in Asia with the highest academic level. As an important branch of Harvard MUN, HMUN CHINA has been successfully hosted for 14 years in China.

International Conference
The participating delegates of the HMUN CHINA come from all over the world. Delegates from various countries gather together to expound their unique insights on international issues and promote the innovative solutions with fully English-language. and jointly discuss plans for mutual benefit and win-win results from the perspective of global citizens.

Substantive Excellence
The 17 members of the HMUN CHINA chairing team all come from Harvard University. They are carefully selected from the HMUN Boston Conference. All the background papers on the topics are written by members of the HMUN chairing team at Harvard University. They spend a whole year writing the most comprehensive and up-to-date topic research guides for the delegates.

Unique MUN Experience
HMUN CHINA has specially established the International Business Challenge Committee (IBCC). As the world's first Model United Nations conference to introduce the interactive economic simulation format, IBCC will simulate the development and changes of the global economy, creating an immersive international economic and trade environment for the delegates. At that conference, delegates from around the world will formulate innovative solutions to reshape the economic landscape through strategic negotiations and innovation in business models.
Feature Activity
Harvard Directors Panel provides an excellent opportunity for the participating representativesdelegates to get up close and personal with information about Harvard University's curriculum offerings, campus life, extracurricular activities, and more.
Global Village provides a platform for delegates from all over the world transform into messengers of their respective national cultures. The delegates exchange information about the history and folk customs of different countries, make many close friends, and broaden their horizons in the process of cultural integration.
Delegate Dances provides a platform for delegates to perform, creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and enhances the communication and friendship among young people.
Committee Directors and Topics
HMUN CHINA has rigorously selected 17 members of the Model United Nations chairing team from Harvard University to serve as conference directors. They are erudite, possess rich experience in participating in and chairing Model United Nations conferences, and have a strong sense of educational mission. From crafting the background documents before the conference to chairing and guiding the discussions during the conference, they will provide the participating delegates with an authentic Harvard Model United Nations experience.
HMUNC Awards
All students participating in the HMUN CHINA will receive a certificate of participation issued by the official Harvard Model United Nations. Outstanding students and their schools will be awarded official certificates of recognition from the HMUN CHINA. Students with outstanding performance and award-winners in this session of the HMUN CHINA will automatically qualify for the 2026 HMUN Boston Conference, exempt from the standard selection process, and secure direct entry to the international exchange platform.
